Mrs. Zappala is an italian licensed architect. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the Universita degli Studi di Catania, Italy. She graduated with a thesis on “The restoration for modern. The reuse of the rural district Rizza.”
She transferred to Washington DC in 2012.
Mrs. Zappala is passionate about comfortable and enjoyable living spaces, creative, and detail-oriented.
Before joining FORMDesign, Mrs Zappala worked on several residential and commercial projects, like a 12,000 SF new office building in Chantilly, VA, and directing the construction of a Bridal store in Georgetown, DC. Her work has also been featured in the Washington Post.
In her short tenure in FORMDesign she has successfully led the expansion of Lebanese Taverna and other projects.
Mrs. Zappala is a former professional volleyball player. She enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor activities, and cooking.
