Now Hiring: Architect / Architectural Designer
We are looking for a detail-oriented Architect / Architectural Designer to join our team. You will lead the process of creating functional spaces—from concept through construction—working across various project types. This role involves translating the creative vision and goals of our clients into built environments, while balancing design intent, technical coordination, and deadlines.
Areas of Responsibility

Conduct site surveys, develop schematic designs, and manage project schedules.

Complete and coordinate full construction drawings, including MEP, structural, and other required engineering.

Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and aligned with profit goals.

Manage design team(s) to ensure quality control and timely delivery.

Level of authority may vary depending on the nature and complexity of the task.
Project Support

Interface with clients, FORMDesign team members, contractor project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to execute the design, bidding, and construction phases.

Assist the Owner in developing the overall design, scope, and project schedule.

Coordinate any civil engineering input during the design process.

Create detailed space surveys, including MEP elements.

Develop schematic designs and color/material boards in collaboration with the client and PIC (Principal in Charge).

Revise schematic designs as directed by the client and/or PIC.

Perform code reviews on both schematic designs and final construction documents.

Proceed with design development and construction documents upon schematic design approval, meeting all internal timelines or notifying the team promptly of any delays.

Coordinate and integrate the work of all engineering consultants, ensuring alignment with architectural intent.

Confirm all submittal requirements are met prior to permitting.

Expedite permit submittals, using a permit expediter if needed.

Prepare revisions required by permitting authorities within 48 hours of receiving comments.

Assist the PIC in maintaining a library of current finish samples, code resources, and reference materials.

Stay current with relevant code changes and design standards.

When working in a new jurisdiction, independently research and understand local codes prior to submission.

Read trade publications and stay updated on design trends and innovations.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, or a closely related field, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to the U.S. standard of a Bachelor's degree in the field.
