Qasem moved to the DC Area from Afghanistan in 2015 and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design. He has been previously involved with US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects in Afghanistan and numbers of new-construction residential projects in Northern Virginia. Continuing his design path more specifically in the commercial field led him to work at FORMDesign. Qasem is also a contemporary artist, primarily creating abstract expressionist paintings and experimental photography.
